Katrina Kaif has also appeared in Telugu and Malayalam films, apart from Bollywood films. She was voted sexiest Asian woman in the world by Eastern Eye in the years 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011. As a British citizen, Katrina Kaif is currently working in India on an employment visa.

Katrina Kaif made her acting debut with the box office failure Boom. Her first taste of success was in Namastey London and later with Welcome, Race and New York (2009). Katrina Kaif has since acted in the critically and commercially successful films like Rajneeti and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Katrina Kaif was born in Hong Kong. Her father is an Indian Kashmiri and mother is British. Her parents divorced when she was very young. When Katrina Kaif came to India, she changed her surname from Turquotte to Kaif.

Katrina Kaif has seven siblings – one brother and six sisters. Although it is often assumed that Katrina Kaif is from London, she has lived there for only three years before coming to Mumbai. She has spent her childhood growing up in Hong Kong, China, Japan, France, Switzerland, Poland, Germany, Belgium and other European countries.

Ever since New York, Katrina Kaif has used her own voice in all her movies. Before that, her voice used to be dubbed due to her low awareness of the Hindi language.
