Agneepath is the 2012 remake of the 1990 Hindi film of the same name. It is produced by Karan Johar and directed by Karan Johar’s former assistant Karan Malhotra. Hrithik Roshan will play the role originally played by Amitabh Bachchan. Priyanka Chopra plays the female lead. The main villian role is played by Sanjay Dutt whereas Rishi Kapoor appears as another villian in the film. Actress Zarina Wahab will play Hrithik Roshan’s mother. Shooting took place in Mumbai’s film city and Gujarat’s Diu, India.

Production
Filming of Agneepath remake started in January 2011. This Hrithik Roshan starrer has been said that this is an adaption of Agneepath which was released in 1990. Hrithik Roshan and Sanjay Dutt both undertook a strict exercise regime to gain muscle for the film. The initial release date of the film was November 11th, 2011. It was pushed to January 26th, 2012. On October 18th, it was reported that Hrithik Roshan had injured himself during shooting. The shooting will now be delayed by 15 days. Director Karan Malhotra had tweeted that the second trailer of Agneepath will be released at the end of December alongside Don 2.

Soundtrack
All the songs are composed by the duo Ajay-Atul while lyrics are penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya. “Chikni Chameli” was released separately as a single. The song “Chikni Chameli” is a remake of the Marathi song “Kombdi Palili” from the movie Jatra.
